A new public transport line between Paris and Les Pavillons-sous-Bois will improve transport services to the east of Paris. The T Zen 3 project will keep pace with urban development in Paris (19th arrondissement), Pantin, Bobigny, Romainville, Bondy, Noisy-le-Sec, Livry-Gargan and Les Pavillons-sous-Bois.
T Zen is an innovative transport system designed by Île-de-France Mobilités. Using dedicated bus lanes and priority at traffic lights, this new bus line integrates within the urban environment much like a tramway.

- Creation of a bus line that will be inserted primarily along the old RN3 roadway, which will be reclassified.
- Connections with existing and future public transport lines: metro M5, tramways T1, T3b, and T4, nine bus lines, and the future tramway T11 and New Grand Paris M15.
- Regular, reliable bus service thanks to dedicated bus lanes and priority at traffic lights.
- Accessible for all: specific amenities to facilitate access for persons with reduced mobility, including wide sliding doors and step-free access from the platforms to the T Zen.
- Buses will circulate from 5 a.m. to 12 a.m. at frequent intervals (with buses running every 6 minutes, during peak hours, every 8 minutes, during off-peak hours, and every 20 minutes at night).
- Real-time passenger information, both visual and audio, in stations and on board the T Zen.
By equipping the Seine-Saint- Denis area with a modern, reliable transport system, the T Zen 3 project will enhance the urban environment all along its route.
This is a comprehensive project that aims to create a new transport line, but also to develop new facilities: bike lanes, separate walking and biking paths, green spaces with trees, etc.
The project will help revitalise this former industrial area and to improve the quality of life of local residents. It fits within a fast-changing urban space. Several urban development projects are already under construction along its route.
- Mid-2011: consultation phase conducted by Île-de-France Mobilités and the Seine-Saint-Denis General Council.
- Year-end 2011: approval of the consultation report by Île-de-France Mobilités. The Seine-Saint-Denis General Council is named contracting authority.
- 2012-2014: further studies
- Year-end 2014: approval of the project’s functional diagram by the Île-de-France Mobilités board of directors. RATP is named contracting authority of the bus depot.
